Mabel was very active in church and community activities. She gladly served in many capacities including president, counselor, and teacher. She enjoyed writing poetry, music, skits and plays, playing golf, traveling and spending
time with family and friends. In 1982 she moved to Willard.
She was employed by Thiokol Corporation and retired in 1983 after 22 years of service. She was active in Daughters of Utah Pioneers, civic club, numerous book clubs and served as chairwoman of the Women's Republican Party.
She is survived by her children, Dennis, Steven (Carolyn) and Roberta (Delond) Cole; Siste r Dorothy (Darwin) Gunnell; sisters-in-law Bessie Calderwood, Vera Smith, Emerine Anderson and brother-in-law Cleon (Myrtle) Anderson; 21 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her
husband Reed, parents, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers and 5 sisters. Services will be held at Willard Peak Chapel on Wednesday, July 20th at 11 a.m. Viewing on Tuesday, July 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary 205
South 100 East Brigham City, Utah and again on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Willard Peak Chapel prior to services. Interment will be in the Bothwell Cemetery. A very special thanks to Vista Care Hospice Service.
