Charles Washington Baxter, Jr., 79 years of age, of Marietta, Georgia departed this life on Sunday, June 24th, 2007.
Charles was a native of Dallas, Georgia, he was born on September 5th, 1927, a son of the late Charles Washington Baxter Sr., and Cora May Morgan Baxter. He retired from Lockheed Aeronautical Corp after 38 years. He was a member of Local Union No#709 International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers. He also was a member of New Vision Pentecostal Church and was a World War II veteran.
He was survived by his loving wife, Joyce Baxter; two daughters, Linda Holcombe and Cheryl (and Elijay) Scroggins, both of Douglasville, Georgia; one brother, Guy Baxter of Marietta, Georgia; one sister, Lillian B. Flowers; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
Burial followed in Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.
