Mart Holland age 111 died at the home of his son Frank, in Jackson County, last Thursday. Burial was in Douglas Cemetery. He came here from Kentucky after the Civil War. He was a Confederate in Kentucky Regiment. He came here in the late 60s. He was the first person to ride in an airplane in this county at age 94, 17 years ago. He leaves five childdren: Frank, Wes, Mrs John Taylor and Mrs Charles Bell. One son Floyd is dead.
