Mr. Claude N. Sapp, age 86, died Sunday at the Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility. He was a member of the Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Sapp retired from Georgia Southern University after 22 years of service and also worked with Altman Pontiac for 12 years. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served in World War II, was a member of the Wonderers Camping Club, the Amateur Radio Club of Statesboro and the Ogeechee Lodge #213 F &AM.

Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Donnease Sapp of Statesboro; his son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Angela Sapp of Statesboro; three grandchildren, Jason (Lynn) Sapp of Portal, Jeremy Sapp of Statesboro and Lori Sapp of Statesboro; and great-grandchildren, Denny and Cassy.

The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Hodges-Moore Funeral Home with Elder Randy Waters and the Rev. Larry Bird officiating. Burial will be in Middleground Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
