Laura G. Bishop, 40, died Saturday, May 14, 1960, following a two-week's illness.

She had been employed at the Grose Galesburg Company as a Machine Operator and was recording secretary of Amalgamated Union. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Chit and Chatter Club. She was a member of the Cuba Christian Church and graduated from the Cuba High School in 1935.

A resident of Canton since 1935, she formerly lived in Cuba, where she was born July 3, 1919, a daughter of Harry and Alta (Salisbury) Hale.

On November 9, 1935, she was married in Canton to Leo Bishop, who survives, along with three brothers: John Hale, of Muncie, IN, Robert of Creve Coeur, and Joseph, of Elmhurst, and two sisters: Mae Morris of Columbus, OH, and Mary Cooper, of Avon, IL.
