Ronald E. Schuh, 53, of 274 Garfield Ave., Elkhart Lake, died peacefully Friday morning, March 23, 2001, at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 19, 1947, in Sheboygan, a son of Henry and Angeline Watry Schuh. A 1966 graduate of Kiel High School, Ron was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1969 in Korea.
On Jan. 19, 1993, he married Janice Mattson. Ron was a carpenter by trade, working for Kleiber Construction and also drove truck for Plyco and Robbins's Distributing.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart Lake, a member of the Hermitage Conservation Club and the Elkhart Lake Fire Department. Ron enjoyed trap shooting, deer hunting, fishing and ice fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Janice; two children, Rhonda Schuh of Milwaukee; and Brian Schuh of Elkhart Lake; his parents, Henry and Angeline Schuh of Kiel; his brothers and sisters, Marjorie (Wayne) Kaiser of Glenbeulah, Virginia (Bill) Pfeiffer of Sheboygan Falls, Donna (Glenn) Desselier of Kiel, Barbara (Matt) Lefeber of St. Cloud, James Schuh of Kiel, Mark (Diane) Schuh of Kiel, Jane (Dave) Felton of Cedarburg and Mary (Dennis) Kennedy of Wauwatosa; many nieces and nephews and one sister-in-law, Peggy Schuh of Elkhart Lake. He was preceded in death by one brother, Steve; and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church, Elkhart Lake, with the Rev. Matthew Graminski officiating. Burial will be in the Kiel Cemetery.
