Herman D. Dreifuerst, 82, of 194 E. Cotton St.,died at 12:25 p.m. Sat. Feb. 11, 1978, at Grancare Nursing Center.

He was born Oct. 25, 1895, at St. Cloud, a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Franzen Dreifuerst. He married Ida Petrie at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joe, on Feb. 11, 1919.

Mr. Dreifuerst was employed by the P.B. Haber family and the Wiley-Smith Clinic until retiring in 1969. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holy Name Society and Third Order of St. Francis.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Eileen at home; three sons, Marvin and Paul both of Fond du Lac and Harold of Hermitage, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Klinzing and Mrs. Viola Thiel both of Fond du Lac. Four brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zacherl Funeral Home, 8785 E. Division St., and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. The Rev. Ernest O. Dreher will officiate, and burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation for Mr. Dreifuerst will be after 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
