Funeral services were held Saturday morning for Mrs. Susan Hoehl, 92, formerly of St. Anna, who died last week Wednesday morning at Calumet Homestead in New Holstein.
She was born in St. Joe in Fond du Lac County on March 20, 1876, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Dreifuerst. She attended the parochial school at St. Joe. On November 24, 1896 she was married to John Hoehl at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joe. He died in July of 1930. Mrs. Hoehl was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, and an honorary member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Anna Catholic Church.
Survivors are three sons, Claude and Edward of St. Anna and Robert Hoehl of Sheboygan; and nine daughters, Mrs. A. J. Zorn of Capawba, Mrs. A. A. Schmitz of St. Cloud, Mrs. Estella Heus, Mrs. Hildegarde Voelker, Mrs. Arno Mahlberg, Mrs. Henrietta Welker, and Mrs. Melvin Bosma, all of New Holstein, and Miss Eugenia Hoehl and Mrs. Elmore Richart both of Kiel.
She also is survived by 27 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; two brothers, Claude of St. Cloud, and Herman of Fond du Lac, and four sisters, Mrs. John Lisowe, St. Cloud, Mrs. Alma Klinzing, and Mrs. Joseph Thiel, both of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Isabella Roehrig, St. Anna.
