Melva S. Schwartz, 72, Rigby, died in Idaho Falls August 3, 1981 of causes incident to age.
She was born October 10, 1908 in Weston to Erastus Schvaneveldt and Hannah May Phillips. She married Albert Lorenzo Schwartz on September 29, 1926 in the Logan LDS Temple.
She was a homemaker. She attended Cedarville and Dayton elementary schools in Dayton and Weston High School. She was a active member of the LDS Church. She was employed at Fresh Pack at one time.
She is survived by a son, Leon E. Schwartz of Mud Lake; daughters, Mrs. Hank (Norma) Garner, Idaho Falls, Mrs. Don (Carol) Shenton, Dubois, Mrs. Tony (Marie) Staley, Dillon, Montana, Mrs. Lindsay (Bonnie) Hatch, Driggs, and Mrs. Evan (Faye) Morgan, Rigby; sisters, Mrs. Vena Schwartz of Dayton, Mrs. Edna Atkinson of Clarkston, Utah, Mrs. Norma Godfrey of Logan, Utah, and Mrs. Hugo (LaRee) Bauerle of Roy, Utah; brothers Lee and Delbert Schvaneveldt, bot of Weston, and Les Schvaneveldt, Soda Springs; 30 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at the Rigby East Stake Center with Bishop Larry Shuldberg officiating. Burial will be at Fielding Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Funeral Home.
