Turnipseed, 82, died at her home
eight miles northeast of here yesterday
afternoon after a long illness.
She was a widow and most of her life was
spent In the neighborhood where she died.
She was a member of Pious Chapel church.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs. Rose Stangle, Ola and Minnie Turnipseed,
and two sons, at Joe and Floyd. Funeral
Thursday afternoon at the home,
burial in Hughes cemetery. Stephen,
undertaker, in charge.

Funeral For Aged Woman of Cass Township On Thursday
Mrs. Anna Eliza Leanna Turnipseed, 81 years old, well known resident of Cass township, passed away at her home Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. She had been in failing health for some time, and blind for the past ten years. Five years ago she suffered a stroke and had been an invalid since that time.
Mrs. Turnipseed was born near Badge Grove in White County October 8, 1857, the daughter of Joseph Harvey and Amanda Ward. She was educated in the old Academy at Battleground.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. L. E. Stangle of near Sitka; Ola and Minnie at home; one son, Joseph of near Sitka, and Floyd of near Idaville; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, George and Sherman, of Chicago. Two infant children, Orel and Fred, preceded their mother in death, also a daughter, Mrs. Lacie Stallard. Her husband, William Turnipseed, died about 31 years ago .
Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Alvin Hall officiating, assisted by the Rev. C. S. Fife of Logansport. Burial was made in the Hughes Cemetery. G. A. Stephan, funeral director was in charge.
