Jake Wulff,70, a carpenter here for several years, died suddenly at his home. He was born in 1900 in rural Independence and spent several years in North Dakota. For the past several years he had lived in Mondovi and worked as a carpenter until his retirement in 1965. He married Carrie Skovbroten in 1936. He was a member of Central Lutheran Church and the Carpenters Union. Survivors include his wife; two step-daughters, Mrs. Myra Harvey, Grey Lake, Ill.; and Mrs. Ray Casper, Minneapolis; Three brothers, Thomas, Red Wing, Minnesota, Clayton, Mondovi; and Oliver, Port Washington; Five sisters, Mrs. Isabel Kaste, Jackson, Michigan, Mrs.Marion Sather, Minneapolis; Mrs. Hjalmer Overson, West Salem; Mrs. Lillian Grady and Mrs. Anna Hart, both of Mondovi; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 at the Central Lutheran Church with the Reverend J.H. Kolberg officiating. Burial will be at Good Shepard Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Kjentvet and Son Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Thursday until 11 a.m. Friday and at the church from noon until services.
