Garnes Farmer Suffers Fatal Stroke Last Week

This community was shocked by the sudden death of Bennet Larson of Garnes township, Monday evening of last week. On Sunday Mr. Larson had gone to visit his brother, Lawrence, and at 8 pm he suffered a stroke. He passed away at 6:30 pm the following evening without regaining consciousness. He was 49 years, two months and nine days old at the time of his death.
Bennet Larson was born at Goose River, ND, January 2, 1891. His folks later moved to Fisher, Minn. When he was nine years old his parents homesteaded in town of Equality.
He was married November 6, 1915, to Helga Larson. Left to mourn his passing are his wife and ten children, all at home: Goodwin, Gunda, Engvald, Martin, Alvin, Leona, Ruth, Ernest, Elna and Bennet Junior; also his 81 year-old father, Gjermund Larson; three sisters, Mrs. Ingman Flatgaard of Jackson, Mrs. Halvor Nordbo of Finley, ND, and Mrs. Alvin Loiland of Oklee; ad four brothers, Lawrence, Andrew, Olaf and Alfred, all of Oklee.
Funeral services were held at 2 pm Thursday, with services in the Salem Lutheran church. Garnes. Interment was made in the Salem cemetery.
