EDWARD OREN RUPE

Edward Oren Rupe, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rupe, was born August 30th 1888 at Eustis Nebraska, and departed this life at the farm home in October 5th, 1950, having reached the age of 62 years, one month and five days. He was the fourth child of a family of eleven.
On February 28th, 1917 he was united in marriage to Florence I. Wheeler. To this union were born three sons. One son, Robert, preceded his father in death in June 1947.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife, Florence, two sons, Dale and John of Eustis, Nebraska. Three grandchildren, one having preceded him in death, five brothers, Frank, Walter, Wallace, and Nile of Eustis, Nebr., Grover of Georgetown, Delaware. Two sisters, Mrs. Fred Meyer, of Eustis, and Mrs. Chas. Wheeler, of Riverton, Wyo. Besides a host of other relatives and friends.
He will be remembered as a good husband and father as well as a good neighbor. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethern Church.
Funeral services were conducted from the farm home on Sunday at 2:00 and from the Evangelical United Brethern Church at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. F. C. Ebinger officiating. The body was laid to rest in the Eustis Cemetery.
The following served as Pallbearers: Ervin Rupe, Ray Rupe, Harvey Rupe, Walter Hess, Ardell Meyer, and Sgt. James Golding, of Cheyenne, Wyo.
An Octette of men consisting of Fred Hueftle, E. C. Schroeder, Edwin Hueftle, Dean Hueftle, John Hueftle, Fred TImm, Otto Hueftle and Walter Hueftle, sang three numbers; "Going Down the Valley" "In That Beautiful Land" and "Bells at Eventide"
