Married Joanna Wood Oakley. Moved from Arkansas to Bunyan, bought land, soon became known as Roberson Hill. Son of Julius Calvin Roberson and Josephine McKuen. Helped build the Bunyan Baptist Church and Bunyan School House. He and Joanna had eleven children. He was a farmer and had a syrup mill, which was donated to the park in Dublin. He was my Grandfather.

W.A. ROBERSON BURIED MONDAY

On Monday, December 8, W.A. Roberson was laid to rest. A large crowd was present to pay their last respects to the deceased and to offer sympathy to the bereaved.
Services were held at the Baptist Church of Bunyan and was conducted by Revs. Stewart and L.E. Barrett.
Willaim Allen Robersn was born March 18, 1854 in Arkansas, was married to Miss Joanna Oakley September 25, 1875. He came to Texas in 1892 and has resided in Erath County since that time.
Mr. Roberson professed faith in Christ in 1897 and joined the Bunyan Missionary Baptist Church, living a consistant member of the same church until his death.
Too much cannot be said concerning the noble life of this earnest, faithful, sacrificing man.
There is left to mourn his departure, his wife, ten chldren: Mrs. Nolia Carter, Denton; Allen Roberson Hale Center; Mrs. Nora Gryder, Calvin Roberson; Mrs. Josie Gryder, Mrs. Maud Rustin, Russell Roberson, Virgil Roberson, Dewey Roberson, Miss Gladys Roberson, all of Dublin.
He also leaves one brother, John Roberson, Lockney; and two half brothers, Charles Roberson, Des Moines, NM; J.T. Roberson, Visailia, CA; and seven half sisters, Mrs. Fannie Shearer, Silverton; Mrs. Lee Crismon, Rogers Ark; Mrs. Nannie Brown, Wellington; Mrs. Ida Cook, Lubbock; Mrs. Zona Wiley, Las Vegas, NM; Mrs. Julia Burnett, Stephenville; Mrs. Ellie Jackson, Visalia, CA

Mr. Billy Roberson, who has resided in this community for a number of years, passed away Sunday morning at 5:00 o'clock. He had been in poor health for several years but was confined to his bed only a week or so before his death. He had been a devoted member of the Bunyan Baptist Church for a number of years. Besides his wife, he leaves five sons and five daughters and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. A host of friends and neighbors extend their sympathy to the bereaved family.
A number of Stephenville, Dublin, Desdemona and Lingleville people were here Monday for Mr. Roberson's funeral.
