William Henry "Bill" Waddell, 92, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System.

A native of Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mae Lanford Waddell. He was a member of Green Pond Baptist Church where he was a former deacon. Mr. Waddell was a retired plumber and electrician and was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Germany, France, the European Theatre, and World War II.

Surviving are his daughter, Cathy and her husband Roy Parker of Woodruff; two sons, Doug and his wife Sybil Waddell of Boca Raton, FL, and Dennis and his wife Phoebe Waddell of Woodruff; one brother, George Waddell of Aiken; four grandchildren, Kala Waddell, Daniel Waddell, Thomas Waddell, and Clay Waddell.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Green Pond Baptist Church by the Rev. Gene Pace and Rev. Carrol Caldwell. Interment will follow In Darby Cemetery .
