Mrs. Ruth Marie Boatman Carson, 56, of Brittany Apartments, 160 DeBuys Road, Gulfport, miss., formerly of Lancaster, died Friday afternoon in Gulfport Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was a member of Pear Street United Methodist Church in Lancaster. Born in Pequea, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Charles and Annie Kinsey Boatman. She had been a resident of Gulfport for one year. She is survived by her husband, Harry Francis Carson; three sons, Stephen Paul Carson, New Providence; Jerry Allen and Michael James McKonly, both of Lancaster; one stepson, Harry F. Carson, Jr., Lancaster; five grandchildren, one brother, Robert H. Boatman, Gulfport, Miss.; and one sister, Helen Jane, wife of William Chandler, New Providence.
