Lloyd C. Boatman, 84, of 26 N. Plum St. died Monday afternoon at Conestoga View after a lengthy illness. Born in Lancaster Twp., he was the husband of the late Annie Elizabeth Kinsey and the son of the late Henry C. and Abbie J. Bleecher Boatman. A resident of Lancaster for more than 50 years, he was a self-employed carpenter until his retirement in 1957. He was a member of the Charles M. Howell Lodge F and AM, and received his 50-year pin as a member of that organization five years ago. Surviving are three daughters, Gladys, wife of Henry E. Chantz, Lancaster; Helen, wife of William Chandler, Lancaster; and Ruth, wife of Henry Carson, Lancaster with whom he resided; also one son, Robert of Mobile, Ala,; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Other survivors include four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Hannah Beach, Neffsville; Mrs. Matilda Ginger, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Mrs. Ruth Andre, Lancaster; Mrs. Virginia Deitzel, Harrisburg; Maris, Conestoga; and Dewey, Holtwood.
