Dedham-Theodore Meiners St., 80, of Dedham, a retired farmer, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Thomas Rest Haven in Coon Rapids, where he had been a patient since June. He had been in failing health for the last year.

Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's church here by the Rev. Henry Meyer. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, where the rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8 and 8:45 p.m. and Thursday at 3, 8, 8:45 p.m.

Mr. Meiners was born at Dedham Feb. 11, 1891, a son of Gerhard and Catherine Meiners, and spent his young manhood here. He served overseas with the United States Army from September, 1918, until Aug. 4, 1919, during World War I.

On Sept. 23, 1919, he was married to Anna C. Wiskus at St. Joseph Church here, with the late Rev. Christopher Huelshorst officiating. They lived two and one-half miles north of Dedham until retiring and moving into Dedham in 1954. Following Mrs. Meiners' death on May 31, 1959, Mr. Meiners continued to live here

He was a member of St. Joseph Church and the parish Rosary Society, and of the DeWit-Loustanau Post No. 20 of the American Legion.

Surviving are three children, Theodore Jr., Mrs. Alvin (Clara) Hoffman and Victor, all of Dedham; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Korwes of Pomeroy and Mrs. Elizabeth Kraus of Carroll; and two brothers, Ben Meiners of Dedham and Henry Meiners of Coon Rapids.

.In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by four grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
