Dedham - Karen Meiners, 12, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Meiners Jr. of Dedham, died of cystic fibrosis at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the family home four miles northeast of Dedham, She was a sixth grade pupil at St. Joseph School here.
Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. Henry Meyer at St. Joseph's Church, Dedham, with Karen's sixth grade classmates forming an honor guard. Interment will be in the parish cemetery….
Karen was born at Carroll Oct. 1, 1959. Her mother is the former Natheal Bierl. She was a member of St. Joseph Church.
Surviving with her parents are two brothers, Kenneth and Kevin, at home; a stepbrother Glenn, at home; a stepsister, Joleen, of Carroll; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bierl of Carroll; and great grandmother, Mrs. John Bierl of St. Benedict.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Linda, Annabel, Brenda and Donna.
