She was born in Joplin, Missouri on January 29, 1942, the daughter of Charles and Juanita (Marshall) Crossley. She graduated from Joplin High School in 1960 and attended Pittsburgh State Teachers College.
Pat was employed for several years by the United States Post Office in Kansas City working as a mail carrier. She was married to Charles A. Swift and when he retired they moved to Pittsfield and she became a substitute teacher at Warsaw Middle School.
She is survived by her sister, Carolyne Kalcevic and her husband Rudy, of Derby, Kansas; a nephew, Rudy Kalcevic Jr., and his wife, Laurie, of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her nieces, Karla Edgett of Derby, Kansas and Jonna Kalcevic of Wichita, Kansas; several great nieces and nephews; one great great niece; two sister-in-laws, Doris Bubar of Burnham and Joyce Stewart of Eddington, and many friends.
