George went to Trumansburg in June 1885, purchased a drug store, became a prominent Trumansburg businessman and a Presbyterian Church deacon. He married Cora Hunter in Trumansburg Oct. 21, 1890.
His brother Frank H. Hopkins was also a druggist in Keesville, Clinton Co., NY.
