Dave Horn, 81, resident of this community for many years, died at his home in Wolbach Friday afternoon, after several months illness. (Funeral information followed)
David Horn, son of Isabelle and William Horn, was born February 8, 1872 in Illinois and passed away March 20, 1953 at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Mary Edna Ogden, April 10, 1896. To this union eight children were born of whom three survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary, five sons, Vernon, William, Glen, Charles and Cecil.
Mr. Horn had been a member of this community since early childhood. He worked independently as a painter in and around this vicinity. His great accomplishment during his life was his friends, his friends were numbered by his acquaintances. Seldom heard to complain he accepted life as it came to him and was contented with his lot.
He leaves to mourn his death one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Watts, of Wolbach; two sons, Merle of Wolbach and Francis of Long Island, New York; a sister, Mrs. Laura Murphy of Oraville, California, fifteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many other relatives and his numerous friends.
