John Edward Nichols, 89, of 4501 Wood died Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital.
Funeral services: 4 p.m. Friday at Wilkirson and Hatch Chapel, Rev. Horace Rawls and Rev. O. H. Dockray officiating, burial in Gerald Cemetery.
Survivors: Wife; two daughters, Mrs. Fant (Clara) Horn and Mrs. Stanley (Elizabeth) Stowers of Lake Jackson; three sons, John Nichols, Joe Nichols of Elm Mott and H. B. Nichols of Bossier City, La.; a sister, Mrs. Nellie Henderson of Corsicana; 17 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
