Mrs. B.N. Purcell Died Last Saturday

Mrs. B.N. Purcell, sister of Mrs. J.C. Purcell of Reidsville and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.H. Dawson of Tyson, died at West Palm Beach, Fla., last Saturday afternoon as a result of an operation performed a day or two before. Her remains were brought to Watermelon Creek Baptist church near Tyson, Monday night and interred in the church cemetery Tuesday.
Her death was a great shock to her family and friends, many of whom did not know that she was ill. She and her family has lived at Glennville until a year or two ago when they moved to West Palm Beach, and they had a large number of friends in this county.
The funeral services were conducted Tuesday by the Rev. C.J. Purcell, assisted by Rev. C.W. Blount of Reidsville.
Surviving, besides her husband are the following children:
Grady Purcell of Mt. Berry; Ben Purcell of Pooler; Rufus Purcell of West Palm Beach; Mrs. Jim Dodgin, Mrs. Robby George and Mrs. Robinson, all of West Palm Beach.
The following brothers and sisters also survive: D.L. Dawson of Hinesville; C.W. Dawson of Ludowici; J.C. Dawson of Tyson; Mrs. Dow Padgett of near Glennville; Mrs. J.C. Purcell of Reidsville; Mrs. I.A. Jones of Hagan; Mrs. A.S. Mobley of Jesup and Miss Janie Dawson of Tyson.

Granddaughter, Rosa Purcell is the wife of well known pastor,
Adrian Rogers, respected Bible teacher and Christian leader for over 50 years, with radio and televison ministries.
