Raymond A. Ott, 62, a native of the Traer community who spent most of his adult years in Davenport, died Friday, February 4, in Stockton, California. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ott, and was born and reared northwest of Traer on the Ott farm at the foot of the Ridge Road. After going to Davenport, he was associated with the Kay Furniture company as credit manager.
He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Abe (Sally) Nascimento, a son, Don Lee Ott, and two grandchildren, all of Stockton, California; by two brothers, Harnold H. Ott and Arthur L. Ott. both of Davenport; and by three sisters Mrs. Carl (Irene) Schwartz of Davenport; Mrs. Richard (Alice) Frizzelle of Moline, Illinois; and Mrs. William C. (Margaret) Hall of Stockton, California.
Raymond's body was returned to Davenport and funeral services are to be held at the Runge Funeral Home in that city at 9 o'clock this Friday morning, February 11, after which his body will be brought to Traer for interment about 1 o'clock p. m. on the Ott family plot in Buckingham cemetery, beside his parents, a sister, Mrs. Leona Schoedelan, and a brother, Verne. His father, Henry Ott, died in 1940; Mrs. Ott, his mother, in 1949. Their daughter, Leona, was taken in 1923, and the son, Verne, in 1941.
