Nina was the daughter of William Clark and Julia Porter. She had one sister, Mollie. Nina married Daniel L. Long in 1908 and they had a son, Vernon, and a daughter who died in infancy.

In 1944 Danny and Nina got word that during a gun battle Vernon had been captured and taken prisoner by German soldiers. He was liberated 5 months later and received the Bronze Star and Silver Star for his gallantry in action.

Nina worked at the Button Factory in Warsaw, New York in the knob department. She was a methodist and had three grandchildren.
