Rites for Joseph Scheidt Are Today
Joseph
Scheidt, 85, lifelong resident of Chicago Heights, died Saturday at McCradie
hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted at ten
o'clock this morning from the West End funeral home to St. Agnes church, with
the Rev. Walter E. Croarkin. pastor officiating. Burial will be at St. James
cemetery at Strassburg.
Mr. Scheidt was born in Bloom Township March 6, 1864.
Surviving are: his wife, Emma; five sons, Edward of Tacoma, Wash.; Peter of
Bradley, Ill; Leo of Crescent City, Ill., and Alfred and Andrew of Chicago
Heights; Three daughters, Mrs. Theresa Kilcoyne of Roseland, Mrs. Catherine
Wichman of Steger and Mrs. Viola Merrick of Harvey; One brother, Frank, of Dyer,
Ind., 21 grand children and eight
great-grandchildren.
