Evelyn N. Funk, 90, of Fort Wayne passed away September 12, 2010. She was born on October 19, 1919 to the late Albert C. and Olga E. (Nelson) Hanks. She worked as the supervisor of payroll at Fort Wayne Community Schools before retiring in 1984. She loved the Lord and was a member at Waynedale United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, baking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving family include her daughters, Carlyn (David) Block of Prague, Czech Republic, Suzanne Richardson, Pam (Harold) Ake both of Ft. Wayne, 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 2 brothers, and her husband Stanley.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday September 15, 2010 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Rd., Ft. Wayne with calling half hour prior to services. Calling hours are also from 2-4 and 6-8 Tuesday September 14, 2010 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Waynedale United Methodist Church or Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home
