Olga Edna Hanks, the daughter of Hans Nelson and Christianna (Rasmussen) Nelson was born at Bennington, Nebraska on September 16, 1884.
She attended public school and was confirmed at the Zion Lutheran Church near Bennington.
On June 10, 1907 she was married to Albert C. Hanks at Bennington. The couple farmed south of Tilden until moving into town in 1942. Albert died on June 11, 1946 and Olga became a resident of the Heritage Village in August of 1977.
Mrs. Hanks died on August 5, 1981 at the Heritage Village Nursing Home at the age of 96 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one son Orville, one daughter Mrs. Marvin (Mildred) O'Dey, four brothers and five sisters.
