Albert Enneking was pronounced dead at St Mary's Hospital, Cottonwood where he was taken by ambulance. Enneking died of head and chest injuries.
Enneking was driving a small tractor with a loading scoop on the front and pulling a trailer loaded with rocks. Apparently the tractor slid off the shoulder of the road and overturned.
Enneking's brother, William, who was working in a field nearby saw the accident happen and attempted to free him with pry bars. The pry bars failed and another tractor was used to free Enneking. Wayne Goeckner, a nephew and Tim Hinkley, a neighbor assisted in freeing Enneking.
William Enneking and his brother were partners in two ranches, one six miles west of Keuterville and one on the Salmon River breaks south of Cottonwood.
Enneking was born August 6, 1909, the son of Frank and Bernadine Enneking at Keuterville. He was educated and lived all of his life in the Keuterville area. He never married.
He and his brother raised registered cattle on their two ranches and also farmed on the ranch west of Keuterville.
He was a communicant of Holly Cross Catholic Church and was a member of the Holy Names Society of the church.
