My fifth great-grandfather and, most likely, a Scots-Irish emigrant. This cemetery is the likely site of his grave, since he was a member of this congregation. He was a soldier in the War of the Revolution, serving with his neighbors of Hamilton Township, Franklin County, and fellow members of Rocky Spring Presbyterian Church.

Children named in his 1789 will are Joseph Marshall (perhaps 1767-1835), William Marshall (living in 1808), Samuel Marshall (died before 1808), John Marshall (abt. 1761-1806), Katharine Marshall Wilkey (died after 1818), Martha Marshall (not listed her mother's 1818 will) and Andrew Marshall (died 1827).

He wrote his will in May 1788, and it was filed in November 1789. He died, most likely, in autumn 1789.
