Edward Eugene Galbraith, 77, Savannah, Missouri passed from this life on Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Shepherd's Personal Care, St. Joseph, Missouri. He was born August 21, 1930 in Tarkio, Missouri. Ed had lived in Savannah and the area most of his life. Ed served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was engaged in farming and worked for Cramer Auto Parts Store, Savannah, Missouri and later became the owner of the business. His parents, Elbert Lee and Lillian (Irvin) Galbraith preceded him in death. Ed was a very caring, loving and generous person. Survivors: brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Doris Galbraith, Crete, NE; Jack and Valerie Galbraith, Rea, MO; sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Kenneth Fulton, Kansas City, MO; half brother, Lee Wallace and his wife, Susan, Topeka, KS; several nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life: 2:00 PM Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Breit-Hawkins & Gladden Funeral Home, Savannah, MO. Interment at Savannah, Missouri Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of American Legion Dick Munkres Post 287. Public viewing after 11 AM Friday. The family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 PM Friday. Memorial donations can be made to a choice of the donor.
