She was born June 21, 1918 in Houston County to the late James Hiram Gaines and Ola Wells Gaines. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of County Line Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, H.D. "Buck" Denman; sister, Addie Leona Gaines; and brother, George Gaines. She is survived by sons, Gary Denson Denman, and Thomas Paul Denman and wife Colleen; sister, Billie Sue Owens Bedford; brother-in-law, Charles Denman and wife Carlene; and special cousins, Lois Morehead, and Elwanda Thedford.
