Mary Charlotte Johnson Rucker, 86, passed away on October 25, 2010.

She was born April 6, 1924, to Charles and Clara Schroeder Johnson, in Hayden, Arizona.

Mary attended school in Arizona and graduated from Mesa High School. She later attended The University of Arizona and earned her Bachelor's degree in Special Education.

On March 23, 1942 Mary married her high school sweetheart Roy Leonard Rucker in Mesa, Arizona. Together they had six children.

She was active in the LDS Church where she held many callings, including being a primary teacher at the age of 12. Mary was the PTA president, and loved to organize meals and parties.

She loved family history, scrapbooking, flowers, and yard work. Her family and faith were her life. She was dedicated to her family and loved everything to do with them.

Survivors include her husband, Roy; children: Shirley (Mike) Klein, of Orem, Charles (Vickie) Rucker, of Gila Bend, AZ, Karen (Ray) van der Werf, of Gilbert, AZ, Barbara (Richard) Tarwater, of Payson, Bruce (Marcy) Rucker, of Palm Desert, CA, and Richard (Deborah) Rucker, of Maricopa, AZ; 31 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Betty, and her brother, Charles.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the West Mountain Ward Chapel, 5327 West 10400 South Payson Utah, three miles west of Payson. A viewing will be held 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
