Lena Whitaker Dec. 29, 1906 - April 26, 2001 Services for Lena Whitaker, 94, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Bryan. The Rev. Bill Wiman will officiate. Burial will be in the Martins Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Mrs. Whitaker died Thursday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. She was born in Keith and was a lifetime resident of Brazos County. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Whitaker was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Whitaker. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Linton and Renata Whitaker of Philadelphia, Pa.; a brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Blanche Stedman of Keith; two sisters, Fay Beene of Huntsville and Raye Smith of Bryan, and two grandchildren.
