N. SIMPSON BONDURANT was born in Jefferson County, Ind., February 28, 1822, the fourth of nine children born to Noah and Martha Bondurant, natives of Virginia. Our subject moved to Kentucky in 1851, and located in Henry County, near where he now resides. He has followed farming and stock trading all his life and has been very successful, being one of the wealthiest farmers in Henry County. He now has only 160 acres of land, but has owned large tracts which he has divided among his children. In 1840 he married Miss Sarah Hayney, who bore him nine children, seven of whom are living: Francis, John, Martha, Margaret, Edward, Julie A., William, Simpson and Savind. Mr. Bondurant is a member of the F. & A. M. Politically he is a Democrat. His family are members of the Methodist Episcopal Church South.
