She was a lifetime resident of New Britain. She was the daughter of the late Jozef and Zofia (Dzioba) Gworek. She was predeceased by her loving husband, John M. Dalidowitz.
Clara was a member of Sacred Heart Church and past secretary and member of its Ladies Guild. She was a retiree of Fafnir Bearing Company. She was a member of the Fafnir Seniors and the New Britain Seniors. She will be remembered by her family for her fabulous baking. Clara, an avid Yankees fan, enjoyed shopping as well as walking on the beach with her husband.
Clara is survived by her children, Richard and his wife Claire Dalidowitz of Kensington, Christine and her husband Ronald Wasielewski of New Britain, Paul and his wife Linda Dalidowitz of Newington, and Mark and his wife June Dalidowitz of Southington; grandchildren, Tammy and her husband Jay Perkoski, Jeremy and his wife Dana Dalidowitz, John, Joseph and Michael Wasielewski, Sarah and Ryan Dalidowitz, Nicholai and Lara Dalidowitz; great-grandchildren, Jacob Jeremy Dalidowitz and Ella Grace Perkoski; her sisters-in-law, Helen Gworek and Nancy Gworek and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters.
The family appreciates the care that Clara received at Andrew House in her final year. A special thank you to Masonic Care Hospice for their support. Clara's funeral service will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 25th, at 9am at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, at 10am at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, from 4-7pm at Burritt Hill.
