SOUTHAVEN – Leah Mae Ables, 88, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010, at her home. She was born April 19, 1922, in Belmont to Leslie and Celeste Fuller Brosious. She was a homemaker.

Services will be at noon Friday at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont with Bro. James Herman Gray officiating. Burial will be in Dennis Memory Gardens. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are one son, Ralph Gene Ables (Janie) of Southaven; one brother, Frank D. Brosious (Margie) of Belmont; five grandchildren, Jennifer Drewery of Cordova, Tenn., Sheila Aldridge of Smyrna, Tenn., Sharon Knight (Breck) of Chama, N.M., Jason Wardlow (Tracey) of Millington, Tenn., and Troy Wardlow of San Diego, Calif.; six great-grandchildren, Brandon Tisdale of Karnack, Texas, Nolan Forbes of Austin, Texas, Amy Pugh of Nashville, Tenn., Zachary Wardlow and Joshua Wardlow, both of Millington, Tenn., and Kristen Carter of Orange Park, Fla.; and one great-great-grandson, Austin Pugh Nicholson of Nashville, Tenn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Ables; her parents; two sisters, Hazel Ables and Rachel Ables; and a brother, Eugene Brosious.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Deaton Funeral Home in Belmont and until service time on Friday.
