HORN LAKE, MS – Rachel Brosious Ables, 81, died Saturday, May 30, 2009, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Southaven. She was born July 19, 1927, to Leslie Walter and Celestie Fuller Brosious. She was married to Thadaus "Fate" Ables and she was a devoted wife and mother. She was employed by Blue Bell Manufacturing in Belmont. She accepted Christ at an early age and was actively involved in church throughout her life. She lived in Dennis before relocating to Horn Lake in the mid-1990's.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Lindsey Cemetery in Dennis. Deaton Funeral Home of Belmont is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include a grandson, Christopher Ables of Florida; a brother, Frank Brosious (Margie) of Belmont; a sister, Leah Mae Ables of Southaven; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; an infant daughter, Bonnie Ables; a son, Carlton Wayne Ables; a sister, Hazel Brosious Ables; and a brother, Eugene Brosious.
