On the 1900 US Census he is found in Jackson & Barren Fork Townships, Ozark County, Missouri, along with wife Alice and the following children:
son Aasic, born February 1885; son Johney born January 1886*; daughter Sarah C., born April 1891**; daughter Pearl E. born May 1897***; and son Hurbert, born NOV 1899****. The 1910 US Census shows him at age 51, living in Jackson, Ozark County, Missouri, with wife Alice, also age 51, and the following children: son Jake, age 23*, born 1886/1887; daughter Catherine, age 19**, born 1891/1892; daughter Edna, age 12***, born 1898/1899; and son Herbert, age 10****, born 1899/1900. He is listed on the 1920 US Census as living in Wagoner County, Oklahoma, with wife Alice, and the following persons: son Jake, age 32; Homer Barley, age 34; Christine Barley, age 29; and Mirria Barley, age 29; and Alice Barley, age 6. He is listed on the 1930 US Census, living in Coweta, Wagoner County, Oklahoma, with wife Alice. They are both listed as being 71 years of age.
