Freeman I. Wools, 82, 807 Haslett St., died at 2:32 a m. yesterday at Community Hospital, Indianapolis after an illness of the past six months.


A native of Brazil, Ind., he was born March 31, 1886 to Daniel and Delaney Wools and had remained in Anderson since 1929.


Mr. Wools retired in 1952 from the Howe Fire Apparatus Co., where he had been employed since 1941. He was a member of the Meadowbrook Church of Christ.


Surviving with the widow, Anna I. Morris Wools, to whom he was married in 1907. In Bloomfield are seven sons, Calvin E., Marion L., Clarence E., Gilbert A., Archie E., Losie W., all of Anderson and Vernon H. of Carmel; one daughter, Mrs. Ray (Esther) Etchison of Indianapolis; a sister. Mrs. Laura Morford of Anderson; 19 grandchildren; and 35 great grandchildren.


Funeral services have been arranged for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harold E. Roselle Funeral Home with Willard Brown, pastor of Meadowbrook Church of Christ, officiating.
