A native of Deweese, William Wayne Aksamit passed away at his home in Buffalo Grove, Illinois November 5, 1987. Mr. Aksamit was a graduate of Nelson High School and the University of Nebraska.
William W. Aksamit, 49, beloved husband of Betty Walker Aksamit; loving father of Randy and Gwen Aksamit; and dear brother of Ronald of Eagle Rivers, Alaska, Steven of Deweese, Rebecca of Bellevue, Nebraska, and Virginia Haddix of Beatrice, Nebraska, was born December 22, 1937, in Deweese, the oldest son of Bill and Rose Kucera Aksamit. Bill was an analytical chemist for G.D. Searle, Co. for more than 25 years and his untimely death was caused by cancer. He was preceeded in death by his father, Bill.
The Mass of the Ressurection (sic) was held November 8 at St. Mary's Church in Buffalo Grove and interment in the church cemetery. The family requests memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society, Imperial Mall, Hastings, Nebraska.
