C.L. passed away on Wednesday December 13 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday December 16 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Marty Comer with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
C.L. was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was born June 17 1924 in Scotts Hill Tennessee to Chester L. Alexander Sr. and Avis Fay Brasher Alexander. He was a World War II veteran. He loved fishing and woodworking. He was married to Mary Wade Alexander on December 25 1949.
He leaves his wife Mary; one son Paul B. Alexander and wife Donna; and two daughters Pat Alexander White and husband Bobby and Avis "Abby" Alexander Lennon and husband Dennis. He had six grandchildren Mandy White Russell Bobby Joe White Jr. Chris Alexander Chris Cash Ricky Wayne Alexander and Jessica Lennon and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his children Richard Donna Kay and Chip; his parents Chester and Fay Alexander; his sister Vernell Littrell and brothers Billy and Bobby Lee Alexander; and granddaughter Emilee Kaye White.
