John B. Crouse, 91, of Forks Township, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 in Easton Hospital. Born: June 29, 1919, in Hazleton, PA, he was a son of the late Walter C. and Anna Serena Heller Crouse. Personal: He and his wife, the former Betty Diefenderfer, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on May 8, 2010. John retired in 1982 from PP& L where he worked for 42 years. He graduated from Hazleton High School in 1936 and served as a sergeant in the Army Air Corps during World War II. Memberships: He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. John was a life member of Diamond Fire Company #2 and Six County Fireman's Association of PA. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Betty, he is survived by a daughter, Nancy J. Foulk and her husband Terry S., of Forks Township and two grandchildren, Daniel S. and his wife Melissa, and Lindsey J. Foulk and her companion, Anthony Wilcox. Services: 11 a.m. Friday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Thursday 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Memorials: may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, 2012 Sullivan Trail, Easton, PA 18040 or Diamond Fire Company #2, 624 N. Church St., Hazleton, PA 18201.
