Mrs. Rena Heller Crouse, wife of Walter C. Crouse, died at the family home, 557 Peace street at 4:10 o'clock this morning after a long illness. A daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bernhardt Heller, Mrs. Crouse was a member of an old Hazleton family and had resided here her entire life. Her father was a foreman in the moulding shops for J.C. Haydon at the Jeanesville Iron Works for many years. Her husband who was with Weidenbach's grocery for years is now associated with Iffert's market. Mrs. Crouse was a member of Grace Reformed church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Diamond Fire Company.
Surviving are her husband, and a son, John Crouse of Hazleton. Also two brothers, Con Heller, owner of Mayer's barber shop in the Markle Bank basement and George Heller of this city. A brother Rev. Berhardt Heller, pastor of the Reformed church at Ringtown, died three years ago.
The funeral will be held from the family residence on Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Rev. W.Y. Gebhard will officiate and burial will be in the Vine street cemetery. Friends may call at the home from Thursday afternoon until time of funeral.
