Phillip R. May of West Liberty, Ky., passed away Sunday, October 24, 2010, at the St. Claire Regional Medical Center, Morehead, Ky.,at the age of 79 years.
He was born at White Oak, Ky., a son of the late Earl and Vera Hazel Wells May.
Phillip worked as a Butcher at Walter's IGA, he worked at the Toll Station on Mountain Parkway at Campton, and retired as a Manager and EMT for the Morgan County Ambulance Service. He was saved and baptized and was of the Christian Church Faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Hobert P. May, Mary Evelyn Wells, and Robert May.
He is survived by one sister, Anna Ruth Roach of West Liberty, Ky., two brothers, Ova and Henrietta May of West Liberty, Ky., and Earl and Mary E. May of Campton, Ky., nine nieces and nephews, Cassandra Adkins, David Earl May, John Alan May, Virgil Keith May, Stephanie Ann Roach, Vera Elizabeth Eagle, Charles Earl May, Jacqueline Heaton, and John Raymond May, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at the Potter Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Casteel and Bro. David Earl May officiating. Burial to follow in the Allen Cemetery, White Oak, KY.
Visitation from 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Pallbearers: John Alan May, David Earl May, Charles Earl May, David Joshua May, Tony Adkins, Randy Williams, Jimmy Adkins, Alan Scott Oldfield, Earl Holbrook.
