Carole Marlene Christopher, 71, of Pekin, passed away at 3:30 p.m. Monday, October 11, 2010 at Pekin Hospital.

Born October 19, 1938 in Madison, Wisconsin to George William and Marcella Victoria (Bakke) Cochlan, she married Glen Raymond Christopher on July 15, 1961 in Pekin. He survives of Pekin.

Also surviving are one daughter, Sandra Lynn (Michael) Furkin of Pekin; two sons, Allen (Robin) Pfanz and Jeffrey Pfanz, both of Pekin; six grandchildren, Christopher Pfanz, Joshua Pfanz, Jesse Pfanz, Cassandra Pfanz, Jaqueline Pfanz and Jennifer Pfanz, all of Pekin; and one sister, Darlene Hansen of Rochester, Minnesota.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carole formerly worked at Pekin Hospital as a Nurses Aide from 1960 to 1961.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Manito.

She enjoyed spending time with family and was a dog lover and a bird lover.

Her graveside service will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
