He was born Sept. 2, 1917 north of Callao, the son of Charles and Perneta Anspaugh (correct spelling is Anspauch) Grimshaw. He lived in the Macon County area most of his life working as a carpenter.
Survivors include one step son, Bob Grimshaw of Macon; two sisters, Bea Watson of Callao and Ruth Roberts of Macon; one brother, Freeman Grimshaw of Macon; and a former wife, Addie Wright Grimshaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and four sisters.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 14, at the Carney Funeral Chapel in Macon with the Rev. Bob Fry officiating. Burial was in the Mount Zion Cemetery northwest of Callao.
