Rosemary Quin Williams, 79, of Summit, died Aug. 2, 2010, at Regency Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Visitation is 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb. Services are 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel. The Rev. Craig Richardson will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 26, 1930, in McComb, to Hallie Franklin and Freddie Mae Estess Quin.

She was a 1948 graduate of McComb High School. She obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and her master's degree from the University of Mississippi. She taught school in Mississippi and Louisiana and retired from the Texas State Department of Education. While in Louisiana, she was a supervisor teacher at McNeese State University. She was was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority and First Baptist Church of McComb.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Frank Lee Quin.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Warren A. Williams of Summit; a son, Kenneth E. Jackson of Houston, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Holly Beth Williams-Roller and Joseph of Brooklyn, N.Y.; a granddaughter, Mary Quin Roller; a niece and her husband, Betsy and Lannie Mitchell of Memphis.
