First wife of Conrad Baver married August 14, 1763

Second wife to Michael Hartman/Haertmer Married May 8, 1785

Conrad and Anna Margaret (Eckrodt/Eckerott/Eckenroth) had 10 children:

1. Mary Magdalen Bevertz/Beaver/Baver brn. 22 November in 1766 in Greenswich Township, Berks County, PA.; baptized in Spitzenberg on 18, January 1767, Sponsors: her Uncle and Aunt - Christian and Magdalen (Bevertz) Henrich. (GR, page 30; "Records", Volume 3, page 307). She was living at the date of her father's will on 22 April 1784. I have nothing further on Mary Magdalen. (WK-book, page 526)

2. Henry Bevertz/Beaver/Baver brn. 3 February 1769 in Greenwich Township, Berks, Co., PA; baptized in Spitzenberg on 6 March 1769, Sponsors: his paternal Uncle and maternal Aunt- Henry Bevertz and Elizabeth Eckenroth (2) the younger (GR, page 37; "Records", Volume 3, page 314). He was living at the date of his father's will on 22 April 1784. On 22 May 1791 he served as godfather at the baptism of his first cousin Catharine Elizabeth Eckenrot (3) (George 2, John 1) (GR, page 148; "Records", Volume 8, page 356). I have nothing further on Henry. (WK-book, page 526)

3. John George Bevertz/Beaver/Baver was brn. 1 September 1771 in Greenwich Township, Berks County, PA; baptized at Spitzenberg on 17 November 1771, Sponsors: John George Spring and M. Eckenroth (probably the child's grandmother Margaret Eckenroth 1). (GR, page 44; "Records", Volume 3, page 321). I believe George moved about 1797 to his father's property in Limestone (Kalchstein) Run, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania and married there about 1805/6. In the 1810 Census, George Bever (sic) was noted in Turbut Township, Northumberland County, PA (page 134-1810 Census) with his wife and four daughters under 10 years of age. I have nothing further on George. (WK-book, page 526)

4. Margaret Bevertz/Beaver/Baver was born December 1772 in Greenwich Township, Berks Co., and baptized 21 January 1773 at her father's house in Allemangel, Sponsors: her uncle George Eckenroth and Margaret Henrich (GR, page 47; "Records", Volume 3, page 324). I believe she died less than five years later before the birth of her sister Anna Margaret on 1 August 1777. (WK-book, page 526)

5. Christopher Bewertz/Beaver/Baver was born 4 June 1775 in Greenwich Township, Berks County, PA.; baptized 16 July 1775 in Spitzenberg, Sponsors: his uncle Christopher Eckenroth and Eva Weibel (GR, page 55; "Records", Volume 3, page 332). (WK-book, page 526)
Family tradition indicates that when Christopher became of age he was apprenticed to Valentine Boyer of Assace Township, Berks Co., PA. to Elizabeth Boyer, the daughter of Valentine and Elizabeth (Kuhn/Kien) Boyer whom he married on 14 July 1805 in the presence of his mohter and stepfather - Margaret and Michael Hartman. (GR, page 206; "Records", Volume 11, page 198).
Christopher and Susan Bevertz/Beaver/Baver lived in Windsor Township, Berks County until his death on 5 March 1863 and her death on 25 January 1865. Both are buried at Zion's Church, Windsor Castle, Pennsylvania. (WK-book, page 527)

6. Anna Margaret Bevertz/Beaver/Baver was born 1 August 1777 in Greenwich Township, Berks County and baptized on 22 September 1777 at Spitzenberg, Sponsors: Andrew Brown and her grandmother Anna Margaret Eckenroth (1) (GR, page 64; "Records", Volume 3, page 341). I believe she died less than two years later before the birth of Catharine Margaret on 7 August 1779. (WK-page 527) (GR-page 64)

7. Catharine Margaret Bevertz/Beaver/Baver was born 7 August 1777 in Greenwich Township, Berks County and baptized at Spitzenber on 19 September 1779, Sponsors: Jacob Spring and his wife Catharine (GR, page 73; "Records", Volume 3, page 350). She was living at the date of her father's will on 22n April 1784. I have nothing further on Catharine. (WK-book, page 527)

8 John Bevertz/Beaver/Baver The twin brother of Christian, below, was born 17 December 1781 in Greenwich Township, Berks County and baptized on 20 January 1782 at Spitzenberg, Sponsors: his uncle and aunt - Matthias Keffer and his wife Mary Elizabeth Eckenroth (the younger) (GR, page 82; "Records", Volume 3, page 359). He was probably named in memory of both his grandfathers - John Bevertz (1) and John Eckenroth (1). I believe he died less than three years later before the birth of his younger brother John on 2 March 1784. Only one son named John was mentioned in his father's will of 22 April 1784. (WK-book, page 527)

9. Christian Bevertz/Beaver/Baver twin of John, above, was born on 17 December 1781 in Greenwich Township, Berks County and baptized at Spitzenberg on 20 January 1782, Sponsors: his first cousin Christian Eckenroth (3) (Peter 2, John 1) and Barbara Lorenz (GR, page 82; "Records", Volume 3, page 359). (WK-book, pages 527-528)

10. John Bevertz/Beaver/Baver (After the war, on March 2, 1784, they had another son whom they named John in his memory.) (GR, pages 30,37,44,47,55,64,73,82,92 (WK-book, page 523)
John Bevertz/Beaver/Baver was born on 2 March 1784 in Greenwich Township, Berks County and baptized at Spitzenberg on 21 March 1784 only a few months before his father's death. Sponsors at the baptism were Jacob and Catharine Spring. (GR, page 92; "Records", Volume 3, page 369). (WK-book, page 529)
On December 1806 he married Barbara Grett/Greth, daughter of Nicolas and Susan Grett (non-catholic) of Windsor Township, Berks County. Witnesses at the wedding were the brides's brother, Daniel Grett and Joseph Burgy/Borcky both also of Windsor Township, Berks County (GR, page 206; "Records", Volume 11, page 198). (WK-book, page 529)
I believe that after the wedding they resided in Windsor Township near John's older brother Christopher Beaver or near his wife's parents where they raised eight children as follows: Samuel brn. 1 February 1807; Augustine brn. August 1808; Anna brn. 20 August 1810; John Jr. brn. 3 June 1812; Elias brn. 13 July 1815; Nicholas brn. 16 September 1817; and possible twins, Susan and Leah baptized 11 May 1819. (GR, page 224, 230, 236, 242, 250, 256, 262; "Records", Volume 61, pages 60, 114, 120, 187, 250, 256, 262). I have nothing further on John Bevertz/Beaver/Baver. (WK-book, page 529)
